For the first-time since the announcement of the State Line Face-Off Series, presented by AmeriGas, America's Propane Company was announced, the Kalamazoo Wings will face-off against the Toledo Walleye. Kalamazoo holds a slight edge on the season series against Toledo with a record of 3-2-1-0.
Dropping a 4-1 decision to the Walleye on Sunday, the K-Wings enter the Huntington Center tied in third place in the North Division with the Walleye. Tonight is the final road game of the 2010 portion of the K-Wings schedule, who will conclude the calendar year at home on Friday versus the Elmira Jackals.
Led by goaltender Thomas McCollum, the Walleye have moved into a third place tie thanks to 2-0 win last night against the Cincinnati Cyclones. Since joining Toledo, the former first round draft choice of the Detroit Red Wings is 2-0-0-0 with a goals against average of 0.50 and a 0.983 save percentage.

On Monday it was announced that starting this season, the K-Wings and Walleye will be competing for the State Line Face-Off Trophy, presented by AmeriGas, America's Propane Company. The team that captures the season series between the K-Wings and the Walleye, will skate away with a unique trophy presented by
AmeriGas, and win special fan experience for one of their fans.
Roster Changes
Yesterday, Kalamazoo completed a trade that sent forward Jordan Fulton to the Stockton Thunder for forward Aaron Clarke. Today, the K-Wings have activated defenseman A.J. Thelen off the 7-Day IR, loaned goaltender Ryan Nie to the Binghamton Senators and have signed goaltender Tom Schaul.
Five Alive
Forward Kory Karlander starts the week on a five-game point streak. Besides the five-game point streak, Karlander has also registered a goal in three straight games.
Against the North
So far this season, the K-Wings have faired well against their own division. Kalamazoo is 8-5-1-1 versus teams from the North Division.
