
Nie Heads to Binghamton

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders and American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, announce goaltender Ryan Nie has been loaned to the Binghamton Senators of the AHL.
Nie being loaned to Binghamton marks the sixth time this season that a member of the K-Wings has been sent up to the AHL.
On the season, Nie has made 20 appearances, earning a record of 9-8-1-2 with a goals-against-average of 3.35 and a save percentage of 0.893.
In Nie's absence, the K-Wings have signed goaltender Tom Schaul. Schaul played three seasons of collegiate hockey at the University of Oklahoma and has dressed this season with the Indiana Blizzard of the All-American Hockey League and the with the ECHL's Toledo Walleye.
The K-Wings return to the ice tonight, Wednesday, December 29th, as Kalamazoo hits the road to continue their quest for the State Line Face-Off Trophy, presented by AmeriGas, America's Propane Company, to battle the Toledo Walleye
Kalamazoo will head home to Wings Stadium this weekend to host the Elmira Jackals for games on Friday, December 31st and Saturday, January 1st.
For the ninth straight season, the K-Wings have teamed up with COOL 101 FM, and WWMT to present the New Year's Eve Bash. Your ticket to the game will give you FREE admission to the party after the game, which includes a Rock and Roll Dance Party in The Cube, as well as a public skate in Wings Stadium and The Annex.
This Friday's contest will also be a Frugal Fan Friday, featuring $1 beers and $1 hot dogs. Also to celebrate the New Year, the world famous, Claude "The Happy Trumpeter" will be performing on both Friday and Saturday.

On January 1st, Claude "The Happy Trumpeter" will literally be tooting his own horn as the celebrity during the K-Wings Saturday "Celebrity" Series. This Saturday, January 1st, one lucky fan that posted their New Year's Eve Resolution video on the K-Wings' You Tube channel will win a great prize, which will be announced at the game. The winning fan must be in attendance on Saturday, January 1st to be eligible to win.
Single-game tickets for all regular season home games are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office. Ticket Office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. For more information, call Wings Stadium Ticket Office during regular business hours at (269) 345-5101.
