Chicago Wolves News Release

The Chicago Wolves will don commemorative "Winter Camouflage" jerseys and host three Armed Forces Nights at home games on Fri., Jan. 2, Wed., Jan. 7, and Sat., Jan. 10, to honor the United States Military.

The unique, white and gray camouflage jerseys, designed in-house by the Wolves, will be auctioned and raffled to benefit various Chicago-area charities. The Wolves will also collect new and unused iTunes gift cards, DVDs, phone cards, video and computer games and other gift certificates to be mailed to troops overseas. Fans who donate an item will have a chance to win a 2008-09 team signed helmet and other Wolves prizes.

"We actually talked to soldiers to find out what would make their time overseas better and we based the items we are collecting for the drive on their responses," said Wolves Vice President of Operations Courtney Mahoney. "We feel privileged to put together a fundraiser and a campaign that not only supports our local charities, but gives back to the men and women who risk their lives everyday to protect this country."

All but four players' jerseys will be available during a silent auction, which will take place in the East Lobby of the Allstate Arena starting when doors open for the game on Jan. 2, and conclude at the end of the second intermission on Jan. 10. The jerseys worn by forward RYLAN KAIP, defensemen TYSON MARSH and BRIAN SIPOTZ and the Wolves mascot, SKATES - as selected by fan voting on chicagowolves.com - will be raffled at the end of the game on Jan. 10. Fans can purchase a $5 raffle ticket for the chance to win one of the select jerseys.
