AHL announces suspension

December 30, 2008 - American Hockey League (AHL) News Release


SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League today announced that Manitoba Moose defenseman Zack FitzGerald has been suspended for three (3) games as a result of his actions in a game at Toronto on Dec. 28.

FitzGerald was assessed a game misconduct under AHL Rule 41.4 for physical abuse of an official (Category III).

FitzGerald will miss Manitoba's games tonight (Dec. 30) vs. Chicago, Wednesday (Dec. 31) vs. Chicago and Friday (Jan. 2) vs. Rochester.
