Wolves Roster Expands With Reinforcements From Atlanta

The Atlanta Thrashers have reassigned left wing JORDAN LaVALLEE (LAH-Valley) and defenseman JOEL KWIATKOWSKI (KWEE-at-KOW-skee) to the Chicago Wolves.

LaVALLEE recorded his first National Hockey League points in his second career game with a goal and an assist in Atlanta's 3-2 loss to the Florida Panthers last night. The 21-year-old forward appeared in two games with the Thrashers after earning his first NHL promotion on Sunday. The Corvallis, Oregon, native and second-year pro has netted career highs with 19 goals, 21 assists and 40 points in 71 contests with Chicago this year.

KWIATKOWSKI has registered five assists and 20 penalty minutes in 18 games with Atlanta over two stints. The 31-year-old blueliner led American Hockey League defensemen with 17 goals in 53 games with the Wolves this season when he was recalled by the Thrashers on Feb. 26. He paces Chicago with a +23 plus/minus rating and leads team blueliners with 42 points.

The Kindersley, Saskatchewan, native has appeared in 282 NHL games during his 10-year professional career, notching 16 goals, 29 assists, 45 points and 245 penalty minutes.

Chicago, which clinched the American Hockey League's West Division title with a 5-4 win over the Manitoba Moose last night, battles Manitoba again at the MTS Centre on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
