Worchester Sharks Add Two More to Roster

WORCESTER, MA - San Jose Sharks Vice President and Assistant General Manager Wayne Thomas announced that the Worcester Sharks have added defenseman Ty Wishart and forward Frazer McLaren to the roster.

Defenseman Ty Wishart was reassigned from San Jose to Worcester. The 19-year-old native of Comox, British Columbia just completed his 4th season in the Western Hockey League. Ty, a 1st round draft selection by the Sharks in 2006, recorded 67 points with Prince George and Moose Jaw this season (16g-51a) in 72 games. Wishart will wear #3 for Worcester.

Forward Frazer McLaren signed an amateur tryout agreement with the Worcester Sharks. The 20-year-old native of Winnipeg, Manitoba signed with the Worcester Sharks after completing his 5th season in the Western Hockey League. Frazer, a 7th round draft selection of the Sharks in 2007, recorded 40 points and 164 penalty minutes with Portland and Moose Jaw this season (19g-21a) in 66 games. McLaren will wear #24 for Worcester.

The Sharks continue their four-game road swing with a Wednesday evening affair with the Springfield Falcons at 7pm before returning home to the DCU Center on Friday, April 4th for a 7:05pm battle with the Portland Pirates. After a Saturday road tilt in Manchester, Worcester returns home on Sunday for BALD IS BEAUTIFUL night vs. the Springfield Falcons at 4:05pm.
