Peoria Rivermen News Release
This week is a special one for the Peoria Rivermen as they help support two wonderful area charities: Children's Hospital of Illinois and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
On Saturday, April 5, prior to the Rivermen game against the Chicago Wolves at 7 pm, the OSF Mighty Docs and Firefighter's Local 50 will do battle on the ice in a 2 pm contest to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. All tickets sold through both Firefighter's Local 50 and the OSF Mighty Docs will be good for both games and proceeds to the Hospital. Seats are $13 for one and $25 per pair, and may be purchased through Joe Troglio at (309) 369-0407 or John Farrell at (309) 258-2878.
Also on Saturday, High School Musical's Corbin Bleu will be on hand to sign autographs and greet fans before and during the game - don't miss Corbin in his only Peoria appearance!
The Rivermen will be wearing special baseball jerseys on Peoria Chiefs night, with the jerseys auctioned off following the game to benefit Children's Hospital of Illinois.
After the game Alex Brooks and Ryan Glenn will appear at Sully's on Adams Street to sign autographs and meet with fans, so head on over.
Sunday, April 6 the Rivermen will host Pride in Peoria Day to kick off the city's anti-litter campaign, plus the Peoria Zoo will be on hand with animal exhibits and to recycle your old cell phones - help clean up the environment!
As always Sunday is Peoria Journal Star/Comcast Cable Family Fun on the Run Day, with $1 upper bowl tickets for all kids 12-and-under; $1 hot dogs, Coke products, and bags of chips from 2-3 pm; inflatables for the kids; face painting and balloon animals; and our final post-game skate with the Rivermen!
