June 11, 2024 - Northwoods League (Northwoods)
Rochester Honkers News Release

The Honkers again came up just short of their third win of the season on Tuesday. After leading 5-3 going into the seventh, Rochester gave up a run in each of the final three half innings and lost 6-5.

Sam George labored through five innings, dealing with consistent traffic on the basepaths. But when he exited, he had gone five solid innings of three-run ball.

Luca Dipaolo started the scoring off with an RBI single in the first, apart of a 1/3 night. Cooper Schwindt added two more runs in the second with an RBI single of his own.

In the fifth, Mattie Thomas doubled in Dipalo to extend the lead to two.

However, Waterloo tied the game up and in the bottom of the ninth, Evan Morrison lined a ball up the middle for the walk-off single.

The Bucks will look for the two-game sweep tomorrow at Mayo Field, first pitch is at 6:35.
