MoonDogs Drop Game One of the Series to Minot

It was a rough night in Minot for your MoonDogs losing 4-2 to the Hot Tots.
They did tally 7 hits on the day but only scored two runs both of which in the sixth inning.
Minot jumped out early, scoring in the first inning.
They would eventually grow the lead to 4 runs before Mankato started what seemed to be a comeback.
Minot would go on to score in the fourth and fifth inning as well.
Mankato's Casey Sorg (Bellarmine) hit a 2 RBI single in the sixth to score those two runs.
Minot's pitching was sensational throughout the game working out of jams it seemed like every other inning and still keeping them in the lead for the entirety of tonight's game.
Mankato's starting pitcher tonight was Alex Thomas (Northwestern) who threw 4 innings allowing 2 runs in his first start as a MoonDog.
Mankato will battle the Tots again tomorrow night in Minot looking for the series split to keep their first half champs aspirations intact.
