Walleye Notes

Ø A Four Game Week! Anthony Luciani led the charge Tuesday night in Brampton with three assists to pace the Walleye to a 6-3 win. The very next day, Kyle Rogers scored the first of three third period goals by the Walleye en route to a 5-2 win over the Beast. Toledo came up just one goal shy of tying a record for most goals in game Friday in a 8-1 win at Indy. Winterfest came to a close Sunday with a great game between the Walleye and the Fort Wayne Komets. Komets took the game 3-2 in a shootout.

Ø The Record Man! Forward Kyle Rogers scored twice this week to give him 65 career goals in a Toledo uniform. He is now tied with Evan Rankin for the most goals in Walleye history. Rogers is already the Walleye leader in games played (289), Points (167) and Assists (102). He posted four points (2G, 2A) over the past week.

Ø Owning the Road! Toledo (14-2-0) is tied with both Fort Wayne (14-3-0) and Florida (14-4-0) for the most road wins in the ECHL. Toledo has won six consecutive road contests after collecting three straight this past week.

Ø Gametime! Toledo only has a pair of contests coming this week and both will be played at the Huntington Center. Friday night the Kalamazoo Wings come to town. The Walleye are 3-2-0 against the Wings so far this year holding a 16-10 scoring advantage. Saturday the Indy Fuel will make their first trip into Toledo. The two teams just played Friday night with the Walleye collecting an 8-1 win. Toledo is 2-0-0 against the Fuel this year.
