QUACK TRACKS
Busy
The Mallards last Saturday night completed a stretch of six games in just eight nights. The Mallards went 3-3-0 over those six games.
Deadlock
The Mallards fell into a tie with Wichita for second place in the ECHL's Central Division with last Saturday's loss to the Thunder.
You Again
Last Saturday's loss was the first of three straight games against the Thunder for the Mallards.
Back-to-Back
The Mallards last weekend suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time since they endured five games without a victory between November 26 and December 5.
By the Dozen
Even in the wake of last weekend's setbacks, the Mallards have gone 8-4-0 in their last 12 games.
Undermanned
The Mallards dressed just 14 skaters rather than the standard 16 for last Saturday's game in Wichita. Paxton Leroux (upper body injury), Pearce Eviston (illness) and Logan Nelson (illness) were forced to the sidelines along with Kevin Baker (upper body injury), who has missed the Mallards' last six games.
Home and Away
While last Saturday's loss in Wichita ended the Mallards' five-game road winning streak, the Mallards still boast an impressive away record of 9-6-4. The Mallards' road record is superior to their record on home ice (7-6-1), where they have lost back-to-back games.
Blanked
Rookie Evan Mosher last Wednesday made 26 saves on the way to his first career shutout as the Mallards blanked the IceMen in Evansville. That shutout was the Mallards' first since they whitewashed the Chill in St. Charles 2-0 on March 29 of last season.
Decentralized
The Mallards last week won their final two games against foes from outside the the Central Division. With their victories over Fort Wayne and Evansville the Mallards finished 2-2-0 in inter-division games. The Mallards dropped a pair of games to the Cincinnati Cyclones October 31 and November 1.
Red Light District
The Mallards last Monday against Fort Wayne matched team season highs for goals scored (seven) and allowed (five) in one game. The Mallards rank eighth in the ECHL in goals allowed per game (2.8) and tenth in goals scored per game (3.2).
Special Teams
The Mallards, who Saturday night at Wichita scored two power play goals while matching a team season high by enjoying eight man advantages, rank seventeenth in the ECHL in power play efficiency (17.2). The Mallards rank thirteenth in penalty killing (83.1 percent).
Super Mario
Mario Lamoureux, whose five-game point scoring streak (4-2-6) ended Saturday night at Wichita, is tied for eighth in the ECHL in assists (21) and is tied for tenth in points (32).
No Ordinary Joe
Joe Perry has collected 13 points (four goals and nine assists) in his last ten games and is tied for tenth in the ECHL in goals (16).
Century
Rookie Leroux was assessed seven penalty minutes in last Friday's game against Missouri to top 100 PIM's for the season. Leroux ranks eighth in the ECHL in penalty minutes (104).
Between the Pipes
Mosher, who has started four of the Mallards' last five games, is tied for fifth in the ECHL in save percentage (.918). Parker Milner ranks fourth in save percentage (.920) and fifth in goals against average (2.36).
Milestones
Darren McMillan has recorded 196 career points.
Head to Head
The Mallards have gone 1-2-0 against Wichita this season. The Thunder Wednesday night visit the Quad Cities for the first time this season. The Mallards will meet Wichita a total of 12 times this year. All-time, the Mallards have gone 7-14-1 against the Thunder and 3-5-1 on home ice against Wichita.
