The Ice Dogs responded when Sean McAslan found the back of the net at 10:55. Less than a minute later, Jeff Miles lit the lamp for his fourteenth goal of the season. It was once again Sean McAslan scoring to trim to the Grizzlies lead to 4-3 to close out the second period.

In the third, the Ice Dogs knotted the score up at four when Sean McAslan found Cory Urquhart for his ninth goal of the season. Long Beach scored the go-ahead goal with just 2:41 remaining in the contest and was able to hold on to defeat the Grizzlies for the third game in a row.
