SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls, who have lost two straight, look to get back on the winning track when they host the Bakersfield Condors tonight in a Pacific Division battle. San Diego has won all four meetings this season, outscoring Bakersfield 24-8 (15-1 in the last two games).
SERIES HISTORY: The Gulls and Condors have met four times this season with San Diego holding a 4-0-0 series edge. The teams square off three more times during the regular season, two of which will be in Bakersfield.

San Diego owns the all-time series match-up, posting a 92-20-7 record against its Pacific Division rival. The Gulls are 50-6-4 all-time against the Condors at the ipayOne Center.
LAST HEAD-TO-HEAD MEETING (DEC. 17 VS. BAKERSFIELD): Steve Hildenbrand netted his first career hat trick and Tyler Weiman stopped 36 shots, as the Gulls pummeled the visiting Condors 8-1. The Gulls tallied a season-best eight goals to improve to 4-0-0 against Bakersfield this year. Hildenbrand also added a pair of assists for his first-ever five-point game. Jesse Bennefield contributed two scores and two assists, while Alex Kim scored once and tallied two helpers. For the game, six Gulls finished with at least two points.
GULLS UPDATE: San Diego (15-14-4) enters the day third in the Pacific Division with 34 points, two behind the second-place Long Beach Ice Dogs and 12 back of the front-running Fresno Falcons... The Gulls are four points ahead of the fourth-place Condors, but Bakersfield has five games in hand... San Diego has played two fewer games than Long Beach... The Gulls have lost two straight by combined scores of 12-5... But since getting off to a 1-5-0 start, they are 14-9-4 in their last 27 games... During the last seven games, the Gulls have killed 49 of 57 penalties (86 percent)... They have scored five short-handed goals during that span... San Diego is 8-5-3 at home... Including tonight, six of its next seven games are at home...
PLAYER NOTES: The Gulls will only have 15 healthy skaters tonight, as five are currently on the injured list... Weiman has won six of his last eight decisions and has stopped 248 of 266 shots in that span (.932 save percentage). He is also the reigning ECHL Goaltender of the Week... Hildenbrand has a four-game point streak and has 28 points (11g, 17a) in the last 23 games... Richard Keyes has 27 points (9g, 18a) in the last 23 games... Jesse Bennefield has 23 points (12g, 11a) in the last 15 games...
BAKERSFIELD UPDATE: Bakersfield (13-11-4) starts the day fourth in the Pacific Division with 30 points, four behind the third-place Gulls and six behind the second-place Ice Dogs... The Condors, however, have played five fewer games than San Diego and seven fewer games than Long Beach... Bakersfield has won four of its last five games... The Gulls are 4-0-0 against the Condors this season, outscoring them 24-8 (15-1 in the last two meetings)... Bakersfield is 9-2-3 at home and 4-9-1 on the road...
TRANSACTIONS: Doug MacIver was activated from the injured list after missing the last 22 games with a knee sprain... Mark Wires was acquired Monday from Phoenix in exchange for Chet Ferreira... Darren Partch was released Monday... Alex Kim, who has a broken collar bone, was placed on the injured list Sunday... Alex Rogosheske, torn ACL, was transferred to the 30-day injured list Sunday... David Svagrovsky (tear in finger), Guillaume Fournier (concussion) and Andy Thompson (recovering from wrist surgery) also remain on the injured list... Cody McLeod remains with Lowell of the American Hockey League...
