Sharrow Recalled to AHL Chicago

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that defenseman Jim Sharrow has been called up to the Gladiators American Hockey League affiliate, the Chicago Wolves. In a separate transaction, the Gladiators have signed forward Josh Bennett.

Sharrow has appeared in 23 games for the Gladiators this season, where he has scored 3 goals and 7 assists for 10 points.

A rookie out of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Sharrow posted 16 goals and 31 assists for 47 points in 69 games with the Halifax Mooseheads last year.

A 4th round draft choice of the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Sharrow appeared in 3 AHL games this season with the Chicago Wolves before being assigned to Gwinnett on November 23rd.

In addition, the Gladiators have added forward Josh Bennett to the roster. Bennett recorded a goal in an assist for the Gladiators in six games this season.

Bennett appeared in 53 games during the 2003-04 season with the Louisiana IceGators and Augusta Lynx posting a combined 8 goals and 8 assists for a combined 16 points.
