Tallackson Returns to River Rats

Albany N.Y. - The Albany River Rats announced today that right wing Barry Tallackson has been reassigned by the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League.

Tallackson, 22, totaled one goal and one assist with a minus one rating in the first six games of his NHL career. He made his NHL debut against the Washington Capitals on November 12TH and scored his first NHL goal and assist against the Ottawa Senators on November 19TH. Tallackson totaled seven (2-5) points in 11 games for the River Rats during the 2005-06 campaign. The North Dakota native was New Jersey's second choice (53rd overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He made his pro debut with a goal and an assist for Albany on April 13, 2005.

The River Rats return to action with a pair of games at Pepsi Arena this weekend beginning with a 7:00pm contest against the Portland Pirates on Friday night. Albany then takes on the Binghamton Senators on Saturday night at 7:00pm to close out their current five-game homestand.

The Albany River Rats, owned and operated by Capital District Sports Inc., are in their 13th American Hockey League campaign and serve as the primary affiliate of the National Hockey League's New Jersey Devils.
