Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (2-3) at Rochester Red Wings (4-1)

April 3, 2026 | Game 6 & 7 | Road Game 6 & 7 | ESL Ballpark | DH First Pitch 1:05 P.M.

Game 1: #2 RH Carlos Lagrange (0-0, 2.25) vs. LH Mitchell Parker (1-0, 1.80)

Game 2: RH Adam Kloffenstein vs. LH Zach Penrod (0-0, 0.00)

PROSPECT CENTRAL - Yankees #2 prospect Carlos Lagrange is set to make his second start of the summer today. In his first outing at Buffalo, he tossed four innings of work allowing just one run on four hits. The righty threw 68 pitches. Interestingly enough, Lagrange will be the game one starter in a doubleheader for the second time this season. The Yankees #3 prospect Elmer Rodríguez made season debut last night. He took the loss but only allowed one run in five frames on four hits. He walked two and struck out two. Rodríguez began the season on the Temporary Inactive list welcoming in the birth of his child.

BULLPEN BEST- The RailRiders bullpen is still hanging on to the lowest earned run average in all of Triple-A. Despite Harrison Cohen allowing two runs last night, the relievers hold a 1.89 ERA in 19.0 innings pitched. With one win and one save they have let up six runs, four earned, on a dozen hits. The walks are catching up to the strikeouts with 12 and 16 respectively. The combined bullpen ERA is the only one in the league allowing under two runs per nine frames.

VERSUS LEFTIES - SWB has the lowest batting average against left-handed pitchers, hitting just .108 against Southpaws. The RailRiders are facing back-to-back-to-back lefty starters with Rochester's Mitchell Parker on the bump for game one today and Zach Penrod for game two. Last night the team had just one hit in five innings off of Andrew Alvarez while racking up ten strikeouts. When facing lefties, the RailRiders have totaled four hits, two walks, and fifteen strikeouts in 37 total at-bats.

STREAK SNAPPED - After SWB allowed the Red Wings to score in the first frame yesterday evening, the team snapped their streak of four contests scoring first in the game. The RailRiders are just 2-2 when plating the first offense of the night.

STREAK SNAPPED! - Although the RailRiders dropped their game against Rochester on Thursday afternoon, the team did not record an error during their eight innings in the field. It was the first game this season that SWB did not make a miscue in a contest. The team was trending in the wrong direction with three errors in their third game of the summer and four in their fourth. However all that has changed now and they have a chance to start anew despite leading Triple-A with ten total errors.

THE KLOFF - Right-hander Adam Kloffenstein will make his season debut as the first man on the mound in game two of the doubleheader. The Yankees acquired the 25-year-old on December 19, 2025 after he spent time in the Toronto Blue Jays and St. Louis Cardinals organizations. Last season, Kloffenstein pitched for Triple-A Buffalo making 19 appearances, twelve starts for a 6.26 ERA. He tossed 82.0 innings of work while walking 44, striking out 90, and letting up 20 homers.

NO FREE PASSES - As a team, the RailRiders have notched just 18 walks in five games to their 49 total strikeouts. SWB is tied with Syracuse for the least amount of bases on balls taken in the International League.
