STORM NOTES - The Week That Was! Toledo returned to the winning column in a big way this
past week by taking 3 of the 4 games played. Toledo is 11-3-2 since the
start of 2006. - Road Warriors! Toledo is 4-2-0 on the longest road stretch of the year
that will conclude Tuesday night in Dayton. With the back-to-back wins in
Reading this weekend, Toledo is a season high 11-9-2 away from One Main
Street this season. - Own Your Own Division! Toledo is 21-9-3 when playing inside the North
Division this season. Toledo has a winning record against Dayton (4-2-1),
Johnstown (5-2-0), Reading (5-1-1), and Wheeling (5-2-1). The only team in
the North that Toledo does not have a winning record against is Trenton
(2-2-0). The Storm plays just 1 more game outside its division on March 4th,
when the Greenville Grrrowl invade the Sports Arena. - Power Play! The Storm Power Play collected one goal in each of the past
four contests. For the season, the Storm power play ranks 12th in the ECHL
at 19.0%. They have scored 54 goals in 284 power play opportunities. - Penalty Kill! The Storm is ranked 11th in the league in kill percentage at
83.7%. Toledo has allowed 41 goals in 251 times being shorthanded this year.
Only Long Beach (38) and Trenton (40) have allowed fewer PP goals this
season.
STORM WATCH - Storm Coach's Show! The Toledo Storm Coach's Show will be on hiatus until
February 28th due to Toledo playing games on the next 2 Tuesdays. Storm
defenseman Jason Maleyko will join Head Coach Nick Vitucci and Matt Melzak
for that next show at the Maumee Bay Brewing Company. - The Week Ahead! Toledo will finish its seven game road swing Tuesday night
in Dayton. Toledo is 4-2-1 against the Bombers this season, including
winning back-to-back contests to finish 2005 (5-3 December 30th and 4-1
December 31st). The Storm have out shot Dayton 291-221 in the games played
this season, and have averaged 41.5 shots per game against the Bombers.
Friday and Saturday nights the Storm welcome in the Wheeling Nailers. Friday
's game will start a stretch for Toledo that includes 6 of 8 games on the
home ice. Toledo is 5-2-1 against the Nailers this season. Saturday night
features the Storm Alumni game starting at 5pm (presented by Wendy's Old
Fashion Hamburgers) and the annual Teddy Toss during the Storm Game. See
