Fournier Placed Back on IR, Enga Agrees to Terms

San Diego Gulls News Release
SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls announced Monday that right-winger Guillaume Fournier has been re-placed on the seven-day injured list with concussion-like symptoms. Given the current string of injuries, the Gulls agreed to terms with R.J. Enga, who last played with San Diego in 2002-2003.
The 23-year-old Fournier is currently seventh among Gulls players with 19 points (8g, 11a) while playing in only 24 of 44 possible games. Last year with the Gulls, Fournier led all San Diego rookies with 16 goals and 19 assists.
Fournier's injury again leaves the Gulls short-handed for their match-up with Las Vegas on Tuesday. Alex Kim, recovering from a broken collar bone, and Alex Rogosheske, recovering from a torn ACL, both remain on the 30-day injured list. Kelly Askew, recuperating from a broken ankle, will still be out for another couple of weeks. Meanwhile Richard Keyes is still nursing a groin pull and Grady Moore was placed on the seven-day injured list on Friday with a concussion.
To help bolster the front line, the Gulls announced the return of right-winger Enga. The 32-year-old veteran scored 68 points (32g, 36a) in 66 games for San Diego back in 2002-2003 and has scored more than 100 points three times in his career. Enga is only expected to fill-in Tuesday night.
San Diego's six-game road trip continues Tuesday in Las Vegas, with game-time set for 7:05 p.m. The Gulls finish the trek Wednesday in Bakersfield before returning home Saturday vs. the Victoria Salmon Kings. It will be "Canadian Night," and the first 8,000 fans will receive a Gulls toque (A.K.A. beanie hat), courtesy of your San Diego County Toyota Dealers. All games can be heard on KLSD 1360AM and www.sandiegogulls.com with Chris Ello calling the play-by-play. Most games can also be viewed on the Gulls' Web site, courtesy of B2 Networks.
