Royals Notes:

v The Royals went 0-1-3 in the four games played this past week. Reading's record is now 27-12-6=60, which places the Royals in second place in the North Division of the American Conference and translates into a .667 win percentage-which is the fifth best win percentage in the league.

v Reading is currently riding a four game winless streak (0-1-3), the longest winless streak of the season.

- Sunday's 4-2 loss to Toledo snapped an eight game unbeaten streak for the Royals (4-0-4), the longest unbeaten streak of the year for Reading (01/21 - 02/11).

v The first three games played by the Royals this week each ended regulation time in a tie. The Royals lost two of those games in the shootout (5-4 v. Johnstown on Tuesday; and 4-3 v. Toledo on Saturday) and lost the other in overtime (5-4 @ Greenville).

- Five of the last seven games for the Royals have been resolved in either overtime or a shootout. The Royals have gone 1 - 0 - 4 in those five games.

- Over the course of the season, Reading has played in ten games that have ended regulation time in a tie. The Royals have gone 4 - 0 - 6 in those ten games.

- Reading's record is 3 - 0 - 3 in games resolved in overtime and 1 - 0 - 3 in games resolved in the shootout.

v In the first two games for Reading this week (the 5-4 shootout loss to Johnstown on Tuesday and the 5-4 overtime loss to the Greenville Grrrowl on Friday), the Royals scored the game's first goal. Over the course of the season, the Royals are 17 - 1 - 5 when scoring the first goal of the game.

v The Royals' first goal in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Johnstown Chiefs was scored by Jeff State, marking the second consecutive game in which State scored a goal for Reading.

- After Tuesday's game, State was loaned to the Hershey Bears, where he played two games, picking up an assist and seven penalty minutes. This marked State's third call up to the AHL this season.

- State was returned to the Royals' for Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Toledo Storm, during which State picked up an assist on the Royals' second goal.

- State is currently riding a three game point streak for the Royals (2g - 1a = 3 pts).

- State's seven points for the Royals this year (3g - 4a = 7pts) have all come in his last ten games for the team.

v Dany Roussin scored two goals and assisted on another in Reading's 5-4 shootout loss to Johnstown last Tuesday, marking the second time this season that Roussin has had three or more points in a single game for Reading and extending his personal point streak to a season high six games (5g - 6a = 11pts).

- Although Roussin's point streak was snapped in the Royals' 5-4 overtime loss to Greenville last Friday, he picked up an assist in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to Toledo and scored both of Reading's goals in the 4-2 loss to Toledo on Sunday, marking his third multi-goal game of the year for the Royals.

- Roussin has now had eight multi-point games for the Royals this year.

- In his last 15 games for Reading, Roussin has picked up twenty four points (11g - 13a = 24pts), and he has had at least one point in 23 of the 29 games he has played for the Royals this year.

v Mike Kompon scored a goal and picked up an assist for the Royals in the 5-4 shootout loss to Johnstown on Tuesday night, extending his personal point streak with Reading to an ECHL season high 24 games (7g - 32a = 39 points). This is the fourth longest point streak in ECHL history. (The longest is 38 games, which was established by Trevor Jobe of the Nashville Knights from December 19, 1992 through March 14, 1993).

- Tuesday's two-point performance for Kompon marked his seventeenth multi-point game of the year for the Royals.

- Kompon is currently riding a ten game assist streak (14a), which is the longest active assist streak in the league and ties the longest in the league this season. Kompon's 41 assists in 37 games for Reading places him in third place in the league in that category.

- Kompon has picked up at least one point in 33 of the 37 games he has played for the Royals this year.

- After Tuesday's game, Kompon was loaned to the Binghamton Senators, marking his fourth call up to the AHL this season. As of this writing, Kompon has played two games for Binghamton and has not yet registered a point.

v Doug Christiansen picked up three assists in Reading's 5-4 shootout loss to Johnstown last Tuesday, marking his first three assist game for the Royals this year and the fourth time this season that he has had three or more points in a single game.

- Christiansen has now had eleven multi-point performances in his 38 games for the Royals this year.

- After Tuesday's game, Christiansen was loaned to the Hershey Bears, marking his third call-up to the AHL this season, where he played two games this weekend.

- Christiansen was returned to Reading for Sunday's 4-2 loss to Toledo. He picked up an assist in that game and is currently riding a six game point streak for Reading (1g - 6a= 7pts).

- Christiansen has racked up 30 points (13g - 17a = 30 pts) in his last 22 games for Reading.

v Jason Kostadine scored two goals for the Royals in the 5-4 overtime loss to Greenville on Friday, marking his first multi-goal performance for the Royals this year.

- Kostadine, who was picked up on January 6, 2006, from the Stockton Thunder where had two assists in 23 games, now has four goals and three assists in sixteen games for the Royals this year.

v T.J. Kemp scored the Royals' second goal in the 5-4 overtime loss to Greenville on Friday, breaking an eleven game goal scoring drought and a six game point drought.

- Kemp is currently tied for ninth in scoring amongst defensemen in the EHCL with 30 points (9g - 21a = 30pts).

v Shay Stephenson scored a short-handed goal for the Royals in Friday's 5-4 overtime loss to Greenville, marking his fifth goal in his last six games for Reading.

- In the ten games since he was re-assigned from the Manchester Monarchs to the Royals on January 20, 2006, Stephenson has picked up nine points (5g - 4a = 9pts).

v Shay Stephenson's short-handed goal last Friday against Greenville was the thirteenth shg of the season for the Royals (and the team's eleventh short-handed goal in the last 23 games), which places the team second amongst the 25 teams in the ECHL in that category.

v Grant Jacobsen's goal on Saturday night, the Royals' first of the game in the 4-3 shootout loss to Toledo, snapped a personal ten game goal scoring drought.

- Brent Ozarowski assisted on Jacobsen's goal on Saturday. This was Ozarowski's second assist in only his third game for the Royals, and his first since January 28, as he has played for Reading on a part-time basis and had been signed for the second time of the season earlier in the day.

v The Royals' second goal in the 4-3 shootout loss to Toledo on Saturday was scored by Malcolm MacMillan-his fourth goal of the season, and his third goal in his last eight games for Reading.

v Graig Mischler scored the third goal for Reading in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to Toledo, marking Mischler's second goal in just his fourth game for the Royals-his first game January 15 after being re-signed by Reading earlier in the day.

- Mischler has now picked up 3 points (2g - 1a = 3pts) in five games with Reading this year.

v In the two shootouts for the Royals this week, the team took a total of nine shots and scored on four of them.

- In the 5-4 shootout loss to Johnstown, all four Royals' shooters (Mike Kompon, Dany Roussin, Grant Jacobsen and Doug Christiansen) failed to convert. (Two of the Chiefs' shooters scored on Royals' goaltender, Cody Rudkowsky, in that shootout).

- In the 4-3 shootout loss to Toledo on Saturday, four of the six shooters converted on their attempts (Dany Roussin, Graig Mischler, Larry Courville, and Shay Stephenson) while two did not (Grant Jacobsen and Malcolm MacMillan). (Five of the six Storm shooters scored on Rudkowsky in that shootout).

- Over the course of the season, the Royals have converted on eight of the twenty shootout attempts the team has had, which is a 40.00% scoring ratio.

v After being returned to Reading from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers last Monday, Goaltender Cody Rudkowsky played two games this week for the Royals-and both of them were resolved in the shootout.

- In the 5-4 shootout loss to Johnstown on Tuesday, Rudkowsky made 20 saves on the 24 shots he faced. He also stopped two of the four shots he faced in the shootout.

- Rudkowsky also stopped 26 of the 29 shots he faced in the 4-3 shootout loss to Toledo on Saturday. The Storm scored on five of the six attempts they had in the shootout.

- Over the course of the season, Rudkowsky has been in three shootouts, and has a record of 1 - 0 - 2 in those games. He has stopped seven of the thirteen shots he has faced in the shootout (53.9% save percentage).

- Rudkowsky's record with the Royals is now 12 - 2 - 3 with a 2.55 goals against average and a .913 save percentage.

v Goaltender Yutaka Fukufuji played two games for the Royals this week: (i) the 5-4 overtime loss in Greenville on Friday and (ii) the 4-2 loss to Toledo on Sunday.

- Fukufuji made 32 stops on the 37 shots he faced in Greenville on Friday and made 27 saves on 31 shots against Toledo on Sunday.

- Fukufuji has now faced 773 shots in 22 games for the Royals this year, an average of 35.14 per game.

- In the 45 games played by the Royals this year, the team has given up an average of 33.00 shots against per game, which ranks the team sixteenth of the twenty five teams in the league in that category.

- Over the course of the season, Fukufuji has compiled a record of 12 - 7 - 3 for the Royals with a 3.16 goals against average and a .911 save percentage.

v The Royals have now allowed 140 goals against in the 45 games played so far this season, a team goals against average of 3.11, which ranks twelfth in the league.

v The Royals have scored a total of 172 goals this season, an average of 3.82 goals per game which ranks the team fourth in the league in that category.

v During the four games this past week, the Royals power play scored four goals in nineteen chances with the man advantage, a 21.1% scoring ratio.

- In the last ten games, the Royals have scored seven power play goals in forty-eight opportunities, a 14.6% scoring ratio. (In the seventeen games since January 6, 2006, the Royals have scored 13 ppg in 86 chances, a 15.1% scoring ratio.)

- Over the course of the season, the Royals have scored 53 power play goals in 239 chances with the man advantage, a 22.2% scoring ratio which is fourth in the league.

v During the four games this past week, the Royals penalty kill allowed four goals against in 26 chances for the opponents, an 84.6% kill ratio.

- In the last ten games, the Royals have allowed 10 power play goals against in seventy-two chances, an 86.1% kill ratio.
