Pensacola Ice Pilots News Release

Mike Penny, general manager of the Toronto Marlies, today announced that goaltender Todd Ford has been reassigned to the club from the Pensacola Ice Pilots of the East Coast Hockey League. The recall marks Ford's third such return to the Marlies this season.

The Calgary, Alberta native served as Jean-Francois Racine's back-up in the Marlies' 2-1 victory at Hamilton on January 22nd, 2006 in his only appearance in a Toronto uniform this season. Ford was the goalie of record when Toronto defeated the Bulldogs by a 5-2 score on September 27th, 2005 at Oshawa's Civic Auditorium to earn their first of four consecutive pre-season victories.

Originally selected in the third round, 74th overall, by the Maple Leafs in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Ford has a record of 10-17-1 in 29 games with Pensacola this season.

After playing at Hamilton on Wednesday evening, the Marlies return to Ricoh Coliseum when they host the Syracuse Crunch - AHL affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets - in North Division action this Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for this Friday, and all remaining regular-season Marlies' games, can be obtained by visiting www.torontomarlies.com/tickets.tm or by calling the Marlies' ticket office at 416-597-PUCK
