The Week That Was...

The South Carolina Stingrays battled the Gwinnett Gladiators at the North Charleston Coliseum Tuesday night on Ft. Jackson Holdover Troop Appreciation Night presented by Verizon and skated away with a thrilling 4-3 overtime victory. Defenseman Nick Tabisz scored a goal and two assists, forward David de Kastrozza added two assists and forward Chris Doyle grabbed two points (1g, 1a) including the game-winning goal in overtime. Goaltender Daren Machesney made 34 saves as the Stingrays improved to 6-3-0-0 against the Gladiators this season.

Netminder Daren Machesney is 11 in the league with a 2.80 goals-against average.

Defenseman Johann Kroll is tied for second among league bluliners with two shorthanded points (1g, 1a).
