Stingrays Offer Million Dollar Chuck-a-Puck
November 10, 2006 - ECHL (ECHL)
South Carolina Stingrays News Release
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays announced that on Saturday, November 18th, the winner of the Dunkin' Donuts Chuck-a-Puck will win a chance to shoot the puck for One Million Dollars.
The Dunkin' Donuts Chuck-a-Puck is a new intermission game that began this year where fans throw foam pucks on the ice during the second intermission in an attempt to win a jackpot.
On Saturday, November 18th, the game has taken a new twist. The person whose puck lands closest to the bullseye wins the chance to go onto the ice after the game and shoot the puck for one million dollars. If the puck enters the net through the designated hole, the winner wins the million.
"This promotion is definitely going to add some excitement to the Coliseum on the 18th," commented team President Darren Abbott. "At this level we can not pay our players a million dollars so we thought we would give our fans a chance at a million!"
The Stingrays take the road tonight in Augusta at 7:35 p.m. Listen to the games with Voice of the Rays Mike Kelly on ESPN Radio 910 the Team or through www.stingrayshockey.com beginning at 7:20 p.m. Watch the game live on the web telecast for $6 each at www.stingrayshockey.com, courtesy of B2 Networks.
