Victoria Salmon Kings News Release

Victoria, BC- The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that Defenseman Brad Cook has been added to the roster for Saturday's game, in response to changes in the Canucks and Moose line up.

With Vancouver short on the blue line, the ripple down has caused Victoria to send two key defenseman to Manitoba in the past two days-Shaun Heska and Phil Cole. The Salmon Kings are dwindling on the back line as 6-foot-3, 225-lb Ryan Jorde is listed as day-to-day after sustaining an injury in Thursday night's 6-3 win versus Fresno, and therefore the Salmon Kings have reached out to Cook, a veteran with almost 600 pro games experience.

Cook played 12 games with the Salmon Kings in 2005-06 and earned two points and six penalty minutes.

The 31-year-old native of Southgate, Michigan will suit up as the Salmon Kings continue their series versus the Fresno Falcons with game two Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.
