Star Wars Night, Independence Day Celebration Highlights Dodgers Series

Metairie, LA - Two of the most popular promotions of the season take place when the New Orleans Baby Cakes host the Oklahoma City Dodgers for a six-game series beginning Friday at 7 p.m.

Take to the stars on Friday for Star Wars Night presented by Children's Hospital, Goodwill, and Bart's Office, Inc. Meet and take pictures with Stormtroopers from the 501st Legion and rebel fighters from Dagobah base. After the game, fans can enjoy a Star Wars-themed fireworks show presented by Pepsi and WWL.

Watch two games for the price of one on Saturday for a doubleheader starting at 4 p.m. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a 2018 Baby Cakes baseball card set.

All fans are invited to play catch on the field when gates open at 12 p.m for Sunday's game. The popular 4-for- $44 ticket package provides four game tickets, four hot dogs, four small sodas, a souvenir program and a $5 coupon to use in the 'Cakes Shop for just $44, and children ages 4-13 are welcome to run the bases on the field after the game.

Discounted $5 tickets are available for Monday night's game for all police officers, firefighters, military personnel, EMTs, doctors, nurses and their families, simply by presenting a valid ID at the box office.

The homestand wraps up on Tuesday night with the annual Independence Day celebration, with the largest postgame fireworks of the season and 2-for-1 beers, hot dogs and ice cream all night.
