From the Notes

All-Stars: Today the Pacific Coast League announced that infielder Nick Martini and pitchers James Naile and Bobby Wahl were selected to represent the Sounds in the Triple-A All-Star Game. Martini is hitting .306 (72-for-235) with 40 runs, 36 RBI, 11 doubles, 5 home runs and 2 triples. Naile is 5-6 with a 3.93 ERA (87.0 IP/38 ER) in 15 starts. Wahl is 3-2 with a 2.73 ERA (33.0 IP/10 ER) and nine saves in 29 games.

57 and Counting: Nick Martini extended his on-base streak to 57 games with a hit in each game of yesterday's doubleheader. He's hitting .332 (69-for-208) with 37 runs, 33 RBI, 11 doubles, 2 triples, 5 home runs and 39 walks during the streak that is the longest in Minor League Baseball. The 57-game streak is the longest by a Nashville Sounds player in the Pacific Coast League era. Since MLBAM began tracking on-base streaks in 2009, Martini's 57-game streak is the 3rd-longest in professional baseball. The longest on-base streak in professional baseball since 2009 belongs to Andrew Velazquez of Single-A South Bend when he reached in 74 straight games in 2014.

Neuse Making Noise: Third baseman Sheldon Neuse has started to heat up at the plate recently. In his last 13 games, he's batting .365 (19-for-52) with 7 RBI, 6 runs, 5 doubles, 1 triple, and 1 home run, and had a stretch of five consecutive multi-hit games. He began the day on June 14 with a .193 average and has boosted it to .231, the highest it has been since .273 after April 7, the third game of the season.

Close Calls: The last six games between the Sounds and the Dodgers have been decided by one run. Nashville has played in the second most one-run games in the PCL this season with 28 behind only New Orleans' 30. The Sounds are 15-13 in one-run games on the year, which is the fifth-best winning percentage on the circuit. Six of the 16 matchups in 2017 between these two ball clubs were one-run ball games.

Get the Brooms Out: The Sounds have the opportunity tonight to complete a their first series sweep of the season. The last time the Sounds swept an opponents was September 1-4, 2017 when they took all four games of their series against New Orleans to close out the 2017 season. Nashville has had two opportunities to complete a four this season. They took the first three games of their series against Memphis from May 4-7 but fell in game four 4-1. Then from May 21-24 against Colorado Springs after winning the first three games, they lost 4-0 in the final game of the series.

Double Double: Anthony Garcia collected two doubles in game one of last night's doubleheader. It was the fourth time this season Garcia has tallied a pair of two-baggers in the same game. No other Sounds player has multiple games with two or more doubles. Slade Heathcott and Ramón Laureano each have one three-double game.
