
Solar Bears Erase Two Goal Deficit in 4-3 Win

Orlando, FL - The Solar Bears trailed 2-0 and 3-2 but battled back to take a 4-3 victory over the visiting Florida Everblades at the Amway Center on Monday night. F Zach Harrison recorded his second straight two point game with a pair of goals in the contest.
For the second time in a row, the Florida Everblades collected the game's opening marker. A puck shot through the neutral zone to F Brandon MacLean who led a 2-on-0 into the Solar Bears zone and slipped a backhand shot around G John Curry at 12:02. It was the only goal scored in the first period as Orlando trailed 1-0 going into the intermission.
Early in the second, MacLean knocked in his second of the game. D Olivier Dame-Malka fired a slap shot from the top of the left circle and MacLean deflected the shot into the top right corner at 3:32 to give Florida a 2-0 lead. The score remained 2-0 until late in the frame when D Zach Yuen took a shot at the net and F Mike Ullrich deflected it inside the right post to cut the lead in half at 16:16. Before the end of the period, Orlando completed a beautiful passing play and F Scott Tanski finished it off by slipping a backhand shot past G Trevor Cann to tie the game with 1:46 left in the period.
The Everblades used a power play at the start of the third period to regain the lead 1:04 into the third. MacLean took a pass from the left point at the bottom of the right circle and found F Mathieu Roy wide open in front of the net for a tap in goal as the Everblades grabbed the 3-2 advantage. But a power play for the Solar Bears a few minutes later was finished off when Harrison powered a rebound through the pads of Cann to tie the game at 3-3. Harrison struck again three minutes and 15 seconds later, at 10:48, when he slammed another rebound from on top of the goal crease to put the Solar Bears on top. Orlando weathered a late surge from Florida at the end of the contest to hold on for the 4-3 final score. G John Curry stopped 29 shots to improve to 10-2-0-0 on the season.

F Tyler Murovich had his three game point streak snapped... The Solar Bears improved to 6-0-0 on home ice when tied going into the third period.
