Cincinnati Cyclones News Release
THIS PAST WEEK:
About Saturday Night in Toledo: Jack Combs scored two goals and added an assist to help the Cyclones dominate the Walleye by a 7-3 final score in front of 8,200 at Huntington Center. It was the fourth consecutive game that the Cyclones had eclipsed the five-goal plateau and the second straight night they've tallied seven times.
About Friday Night in Evansville: Josh McFadden's first game-winning goal of the season came just 34 seconds into overtime to lift the Cyclones past the IceMen by a 7-6 final score in front of 5,746 at Ford Center. It was the second time this season that the Cyclones had reached the seven goal plateau.
SHOTS FROM THE POINT:
Ringin' In 2014: With points in each of their seven games, the Cyclones will close out 2013 and welcome in 2014 with a pair of road games against the Kalamazoo Wings. Then, on Saturday night, the Clones return home to face the Reading Royals on Throwback Night / Teddy Bear Toss. Cincinnati has scored five goals or more in each of their last four games.
Goin' Streakin': The Cyclones have been on an offensive tear of late. Barry Almeida, Jack Combs, Jonathan Hazen, Trevor Lewis, and Brett Wysopal are all riding three game point streaks heading into tonight.
Record Chasing: The Cyclones have strung together four straight games with five goals or more. It's the first time since January of the 2008-09 season that the team has accomplished this feat. That year, the Clones had 5+ goals in five consecutive contests.
