Blades Add Forward Stanfield
December 30, 2013 - ECHL (ECHL)
Florida Everblades News Release
Orlando, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush, along with head coach Greg Poss, announced Monday the team has agreed to contract terms with forward Parker Stanfield.
Stanfield, 23, played the past two seasons with the Bakersfield Condors- and three games this year with the South Carolina Stingrays- compiling 46 points (20g, 26a) in 83 career ECHL appearances.
"Parker has done well in this league before, with a couple strong seasons in Bakersfield," explained Poss, "and has had a good year so far in the SPHL. We look forward to his contributing to our team."
Hailing from Orange County, Calif., Stanfield put up four goals and 16 assists for the Peoria Rivermen of the SPHL this season.
On the ice, the Blades will wrap up 2013 with a Monday matchup with their in-state rivals, the Orlando Solar Bears, with a 7:00pm showdown at the Amway Center.
Monday's calendar-year closeout will be broadcast live online at FloridaEverblades.com and on the Everblades' app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, with a video webcast available through America ONE, the official broadband and mobile broadcaster of the ECHL, at www.americaonesports.com. Pregame coverage will get under way at 6:45pm.
