Burgdoerfer Earns First AHL Call-Up to Oklahoma City

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, announced today that D Erik Burgdoerfer has been recalled by the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League. The Barons are in action tomorrow night in OKC against Texas.

Signed a two-way, AHL contract with Oklahoma City on Oct. 18, 2013 One of two players to play in all 27 games with the Condors this season with four goals and four assists for eight points Recorded three goals in two games on Dec. 14-15, including the team's lone penalty shot tally of the seasonCurrently in his fourth season in Bakersfield, he is third in Condors history for games played by a defenseman with 229 The 25-year old played four seasons at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (R.P.I.)
Bakersfield heads on the road for four games, starting on New Year's Day in Las Vegas at 2 p.m. The trip continues in Colorado on Friday and Saturday nights at 6:05 p.m.
