JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Florida Everblades hit the road for their final road trip of the regular season beginning Thursday, April 2 with a three-in-three series against the Jacksonville Icemen.

Florida earned five of a possible six points (2-0-0-1) in a three-game set against Savannah, picking up 7-3 and 5-2 victories before falling 2-1 in a shootout. The Blades have surged offensively, outscoring opponents 26-9 over their last five games while posting a 4-0-0-1 mark during that stretch.

Entering the series, Florida holds an eight-point lead over South Carolina atop the South Division standings with 95 points and seven games remaining, along with a three-point edge over Wheeling for the Eastern Conference lead. Jacksonville, meanwhile, sits on the outside looking in, trailing Savannah by six points for the final playoff spot in the South with two games in hand.

The Icemen enter action fresh off a crucial 3-2 triumph Sunday over Greenville and have gone 6-4 over their last 10 games as they battle to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Florida has controlled the season series against Jacksonville with a 6-2-1 record in nine meetings, including a 2-1-1 mark at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. The last meeting in Jacksonville resulted in a split on March 15-16, with Florida taking the opener before Jacksonville responded in the finale.

Captain Oliver Chau has found his stride offensively, recording eight points (2g-6a) over his last five games and ranking second on the team with 46 points. Carson Gicewicz also broke out against Savannah with a hat trick Friday and two assists Wednesday, appearing in eight games since returning from injury.

For Jacksonville, Adam McMaster and Craig Martin lead the way with 34 points each, while Martin enters the series on a three-game goal streak. Will Hillman has added 11 points in 15 games since being acquired from Toledo.

In net, Cam Johnson has started 20 of Florida's last 21 games compiling a 15-2-1-2 record with a 1.38 goals-against average and .938 save percentage during this stretch. Johnson leads the ECHL in wins (27) games played (44) and goals-against average (1.87). Michael Bullion and Cameron Rowe have split the bulk of the goaltending duties for the Icemen each earning nine wins this season.

Opening faceoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET from VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. The series continues Friday with another 7:00 p.m. puck drop.
