ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

Tonight, the SeaWolves take the field for the first time this season against the New Britain Rock Cats (Minnesota Twins). The 'Wolves have won seven in a row, which is tied for the longest winning streak of the season. The SeaWolves are in search of their first eight game winning streak of the season. The 2006 club had winning streak of nine games, the longest of that season. Erie is coming off the heels of back-to-back sweeps of the top team in the league in Trenton and Harrisburg. The SeaWolves are one game up on Akron in the Southern Division. The four-day stretch in first place is the longest stretch during the season. Erie is 5.5 games ahead of third place Altoona, six up on fourth place Bowie and seven up on fifth place Reading...With three more victories, the 'Wolves will eclipse the win totals of both the 2005 and '06 club. Erie won 63 games in 2005 and 60 games in 2006...RHP Dallas Trahern takes the mound for the SeaWolves in game one of the series against the Rock Cats. Trahern picked up a no-decision in his last outing against Trenton going eight innings, tying a season-high for innings pitched, allowing an unearned run on three hits. It was the first time since Trahern's first start of the season where he allowed no earned runs a game. Tonight is Trahern's sixth attempt to win 11 games. He is 0-2 with a pair of no-decisions in his last three outings.Trahern is tied for second in the EL with 10 wins...'Cats starter Jesse Floyd has dropped back-to-back outings against Trenton and New Hampshire.
