The Trenton Thunder scored four times over their first two at-bats, on their way to a 9-1 victory over the Binghamton Mets at NYSEG Stadium Tuesday. The loss is Binghamton's fifth straight.

Trenton (65-42) drew three straight one-out walks against B-Mets starter Marcos Carvajal in the first, loading the bases. Matt Carson followed with a sacrifice fly for the game's first run. Carvajal (5-8) departed after allowing three straight, two-out, run-scoring hits in the second, with Colin Curtis picking up an RBI triple, Bronson Sardinha a run-scoring single and Noah Hall an RBI double for a 4-0 Thunder lead.

The B-Mets (45-62) got to Trenton starter Alan Horne in the fourth. Vince Harrison and Caleb Stewart began the frame with singles and J.E. Cruz's two-out hit scored Harrison from third, cutting Trenton's lead to 4-1. Horne (10-3) held the B-Mets to one run over six innings, striking out six.

Sardinha singled home another run in the sixth before a Marcelo Perez wild pitch scored Curtis. Hall drove in a run with a single in the eighth before picking up an RBI double in the ninth after Sardinha's sacrifice fly.

Wednesday, the B-Mets play the second game of their three-game series against the Trenton Thunder. Salvador Aguilar (5-5, 5.53) will start for the B-Mets against Daniel McCutchen (NR) of Trenton. Game time is 7:05 from NYSEG Stadium with the radio broadcast starting at 6:50 on Newsradio 1290 WNBF.

Notes: the top four hitters in the Trenton order (Reegie Corona, Curtis, Sardinha and Hall) combined to go 13 for 20, while the rest of the order went 3 for 21...after not allowing a run for 13 1/3 consecutive innings, the Binghamton bullpen's been charged with 18 runs in their last 11 innings...after fanning 13 times Tuesday, B-Mets hitters have struck out 39 times in the last three games.
