Miscellaneous Notes

Last Game... For the third straight game, the Sens jumped out in front by at least two runs, but that didn't matter as they fell to Erie 7-4. The four-game sweep was the second four-game road sweep since the beginning of July. Seth Bynum had a two-out two-run single in the second to give the Sens a 2-0 lead. In the top of the fifth, after Erie had taken a 3-2 lead, Javi Herrera hit a two-out two-run home run to put the Sens on top 4-3. But the bullpen couldn't hold the lead and Erie scored four times in the sixth inning for the win. Bynum, Roger Bernadina, Dan Dement and Marco Yepez all had two hits in the ballgame. It was the sixth straight game Dement has had two hits in.

Tonight's Game... Tonight is the first of a three-game series between the Senators and New Hampshire Fisher Cats. The Senators play New Hampshire for three games then this weekend welcome in the Portland Sea Dogs. This is the first meeting between the teams this season. The Senators have lost five straight while New Hampshire lost three of four to rival New Britain over the weekend. The Fisher Cats are 8-12 since the All-Star break.

Tonight's Starting Pitcher... The Senators send RH Beltran Perez to the mound against LH Eric Fowler for New Hampshire. Perez is making his 16th start this season for the Senators. Perez was placed on the DL on 6/2 with a sore back and activated on 6/22. He has made six starts since coming off the DL. After spending the entire Eastern League season with the Senators, he appeared in eight games and made three starts for the Nationals last September. He was originally signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Sens Notes...

► The Sens have not had the same line up in two straight games since the first two games of the season.

► The Sens still have 11 of the original 24 players still on their roster that started this season. Altogether, the Sens have used 50 different players this season.

► Since the All-Star break the Sens are batting .272 with 61 extra base hits

► Since the all-star break the Sens are hitting .241 with risp... they have left 69 runners in scoring position and have 39 two-out RBIs

► The Senators have scored six or more runs 11 times in the 18 games since the break, but they are just 5-13 since the break. In the first 91 games this season, the Sens scored six or more runs just 27 times.

► The offense is averaging 5.4 runs per game since the All-Star break, however the Sens are giving up an average of 6.8 runs per game.

► The Senators have just two quality starts since the All-Star game (B. Perez 7/16 at Akron 6ip R) and (J. Magrane 7/12 at Reading 7ip 2r)

► The Sens have struck out 10+ times in a game 25 times this season and have also struck out more than any other team in the Eastern League
