Schwarz Returns from Blues

December 12, 2007 - American Hockey League (AHL) - Peoria Rivermen News Release

The Peoria Rivermen announced a pair of roster moves today involving goaltenders Marek Schwarz and Derek Dolson.

The St. Louis Blues returned Schwarz from loan to the Rivermen after his recall last week. While up with St. Louis the 21-year-old native of the Czech Republic stopped 3-of-4 shots against in 10:43 of ice time in relief of Hannu Toivonen during a loss to the Colorado Avalanche Sunday.

With the return of Schwarz, the Rivermen released Dolson from his PTO agreement with the club following Tuesday's game against the Hamilton Bulldogs. Dolson did not appear in a game while with Peoria.

This Friday night is a packed promotional evening for the Rivermen as they take on the Chicago Wolves at 7 pm. Drake Bell from Nickelodeon's Drake and Josh will be on hand to sign autographs from 6 - 8:30 pm. It's also St. Louis Blues Night, with the Rivermen wearing special white Blues jerseys to be auctioned off following the game to benefit Children's Hospital of Illinois. Plus the Illinois Pork Producers will give away 2,500 Kiss-A-Pig cups to fans entering the arena.

Saturday the Rochester Americans are here for its lone appearance at 7 pm. There will be a post-game concert featuring The Boat Drunks, a Jimmy Buffet cover band immediately following the contest.
