Rivermen Bring Back Cayden Cahill

PEORIA, IL - The Peoria Rivermen are excited to announce the return of veteran forward Cayden Cahill for the upcoming 2026-27 SPHL season.
A native of Anchorage, Alaska, Cahill is no stranger to success in a Rivermen sweater. Over four seasons with Peoria, he established himself as one of the forwards while helping the Rivermen capture multiple President's Cup championships.
In 108 career regular-season games with the Rivermen, Cahill recorded 29 goals and 53 assists for 82 points. During the 2023-24 championship campaign, he enjoyed the best offensive season of his professional career, totaling 15 goals and 28 assists for 43 points while becoming a key contributor throughout the regular season and playoffs. Cahill also delivered one of the biggest goals of the postseason, scoring the overtime game-winner in Game One of the first-round playoff series against Pensacola.
Before beginning his professional career, Cahill won a Robertson Cup championship with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs of the NAHL and spent five seasons at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where he developed into a consistent offensive threat. He made his professional debut with the Rivermen during the 2021-22 season and was a member of the organization's President's Cup championship team that spring.

Cahill's familiarity with the Rivermen organization, championship pedigree, and offensive production make him a valuable piece as Peoria continues to build toward another President's Cup run.
