
Rush Fall at Home 5-2 to Tulsa

(RAPID CITY, S.D.) - The Rapid City Rush, proud affiliate of the NHL's Calgary Flames, fell 5-2 at The Monument on Friday night.
For the first time all season, the Rush went into the first intermission scoreless. Luka Profaca opening the scoring with a powerplay goal for Tulsa, breaking a streak of 16 of 17 penalties killed by the Rush PK. Profaca would score again on the powerplay to make it 2-1 later in the second.
Alex Aleardi scored his second goal in as many games, but Rapid City fell behind again on Profaca's second goal. The Rush would not regain the lead.
Eddie Matsushima scored shorthanded to send Tulsa ahead 3-1 with just 14 seconds left in the second period.
Rhett Kingston would score his first of the year to make it 3-2, but Tulsa clamped down on a Kyle Crnkovic goal late in the third. Michael Farren would ice the game with an empty-netter.
The Rush are now 0-3-1 at The Monument this season and have gone seven games without a powerplay goal. Tulsa's win ties them in the Mountain Division standings with Rapid City at nine points.
The Rush will close the weekend series out with the Oilers tomorrow night at The Monument with a 7:05 p.m. puck drop. It will be Veterans Night presented by Rapid City Orthodontics and tickets are available at rapidcityrush.com.
