
Royals Winless Streak Ties Franchise High

Reading Royals News Release
The Royals had three players pick up their first goals in Royals uniforms this week. Larry Courville, Matt Scorsune and Kevin Bergin each tallied for the first time in games over the past week. The Royals unfortunately dropped decisions to Cincinnati, Richmond and twice to Atlantic City to tie a franchise high eight games without a victory. The Royals look to rebound this week finishing off their inaugural season at home on Friday with their final meeting against the Wheeling Nailers. Saturday the Royals will play in Toledo for the first time and then finish up with their first-ever appearance in Peoria against the Rivermen.

Friday, March 29 vs Wheeling Sovereign Center 7:05PM
GAME NOTES: This is the final meeting of seven between the Royals and Nailers. Wheeling has posted wins in the last two meetings between these two teams. Bryan Forslund leads the way for the Royals against the Nailers with four goals and six points. Mike Hurley leads Wheeling with four goals and eight points. The Royals are 3-2-1 against the Nailers this season.
Saturday, March 30 @ Toledo Storm 7:30PM
GAME NOTES: This is the third and final meeting between Reading and Toledo. This is the first and only visit to Toledo this inaugural season for the Royals. Shawn Maltby leads all scorers in this series with four goals and six points, including a game winner. The Royals are 0-2-0 versus Toledo this season.

GAME NOTES: The Reading Royals are 2-0-0 against the Peoria Rivermen. The Royals posted wins on February 4 (3-2OT) and February 9 (5-2) in the Sovereign Center in Reading. This is the final game of the Royals inaugural season and first visit to Peoria.

GAME NOTES: Cincinnati took the final game of this four game regular season set 4-1 in the Sovereign Center. The Cyclones controlled the game from start to finish. Nick Bootland, Allan Eggeland and Kevin Knopp each popped in a goal and an assist. Larry Courville scored the Royals loan tally in the loss.
Friday, March 22 @ Richmond

GAME NOTES: For the second time in the last two meetings the Renegades and Royals went to overtime. This time Richmond prevailed winning 3-2 on Nate Forster's overtime tally. The Royals goals came from leading scorer Brad Rooney and Matt Scorsune both on the power play. The Royals end the season series with the Renegades at 3-2-1.

GAME NOTES: The Royals and Bullies seventh regular season meeting was a sea-saw which saw Atlantic City claim the decision 5-3. Reading jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first period on goals by Brad Rooney, Francois Drainville and Jason Windle. Atlantic City would post the next five goals over the final forty minutes to get the win. Luke Curtin posted four goals and five points to lead the Bullies.

GAME NOTES: The final meeting of the season between Reading and Atlantic City was claimed by the Bullies 3-2. The roles were reversed from the previous night, Atlantic City got two late power play goals in the first period to take a 2-0 edge. The Royals tied the game in the second stanza getting tallies from Kevin Bergin and Matt Erredge. Atlantic City popped in their last goal at the end of the second period to claim a 3-2 win. The Royals tied a franchise high with three power play goals allowed. Reading finished the season series with the Bullies at 3-4-1.

- 3/26 Tuesday KIDS CLUB MEMBERS ONLY EVENT: From 6-8 p.m. the Berks Community Federal Credit Union Royals' Kids Academy members will have fun at many activities at the Family Grand Prix Fun Center in Leesport. Scheduled to join the kids are goaltender #42 Dave Marlin, forwards #18 Dean Stock, #11 Alex Zinevych, Larry Courville and defensemen #12 Philippe Lakos, #16 Nathan Borega and #23 Kevin Bergin.
- 3/28 Thursday Two Coors Light and Labatt's Blue appearances in one night! defenseman #2 Matt Scorsune and goaltender #42 Dave Marlin will join Coors Light and Labatt's Blue Night at California Bar and Grille from 7-9 p.m. Forwards #26 Brent Ozarowski and #14 Jason Windle will join Coors Light and Labatt's Blue Night at The Crab Barn from 8-10 p.m.
- 3/29 Friday The Royals' injured reserve players will appear with John A. Martin, Jr., M.D. of Commonwealth Orthopaedics for his pre-game speech presentation on Sports Management in a private meeting room in the Sovereign Center. Dr. Martin is the Royals' Team Physician.
