Reading Royals News Release

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey, today announced the playoff schedule for the team's upcoming first round Eastern Conference Quarterfinal best-of-seven series against the Toledo Walleye.

The Walleye will host the first two games of the series next Friday, April 15 (@ 7:35 pm) and Saturday, April 16 (@ 7:35 pm) at Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio. The series will then move to Santander Arena in Reading for Game Three on Tuesday, April 19 (@ 7:00 pm) and Game Four on Wednesday, April 20 (@ 7:00 pm). If necessary, the playoff series will return to Huntington Center for Game Five on Friday, April 22 (@ 7:35 pm), then back to Reading for Game Six on Sunday, April 24 (@4:00 pm), and returning to Toledo for Game Seven on Tuesday, April 26 (@ 7:35 pm). Games Five, Six and Seven are 'if necessary' only.

Tickets for the post-season games hosted by the Royals at Santander Arena can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com, the VF Box office at Santander Arena or by calling 610-898-PUCK. Individual playoff ticket prices begin at just $13.50.

This marks the second time in Royals' team history that Reading has faced Toledo in an ECHL post-season series. In 2005, Reading took on the then-Toledo Storm in the best-of-five first round North Division Semi-Finals series, which was claimed by the Royals (three games to one) in what proved to be an epic goaltender showdown between Reading's Barry Brust and Toledo's Scott Fankhauser. This season, the Royals and Walleye faced each other just twice-both at Santander Arena-in a back-to-back weekend set which was swept by Toledo (3-1 on January 8; and 4-2 on January 9).
