
Ronald Roberts Jr. Named to NBA D-League Eastern Conference All-Star Team

The NBA Development League announced Friday Raptors 905 forward Ronald Roberts Jr. has been named to the Eastern Conference team for the 2016 NBA D-League All-Star Game presented by Kumho Tire, set for Saturday, February 13 at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto. All-Star festivities will begin with a three-point contest at 1:30 p.m., with the game to follow at 2:00 p.m.
Roberts Jr., currently the top-ranked call-up-eligible prospect in the NBA D-League's Prospect Watch, has averaged 18.4 points, 12.2 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 34.4 minutes in 22 games with Raptors 905 this season. He ranks second in the NBA D-League in rebounds per game, tied for seventh in blocks and 14th in points per game. Roberts Jr. has led Raptors 905 in rebounds in all but one game he has played this season, has led the team in scoring on eight occasions and has recorded 15 double-doubles. Currently in his second professional season, Roberts Jr. has played in 38 career NBA D-League games with Raptors 905, the Santa Cruz Warriors and Delaware 87ers, averaging 18.0 points, 12.1 rebounds, 1.4 blocks and 32.7 minutes.
Roberts Jr. participated with the Toronto Raptors' entry in NBA Summer League 2015 in Las Vegas, where in four games he averaged 10.3 points, 9.5 rebounds and 23.5 minutes. On October 31, Raptors 905 acquired his returning player rights from Santa Cruz, along with the Warriors' 2016 third-round pick, in exchange for a 2015 second-round pick, 2016 first-round pick and the returning player rights to Kevin Jones.
