Roadrunners Sign Busby to Amateur Tryout

TUCSON, AZ - The Tucson Roadrunners, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, announced today that the club has signed defenseman Dennis Busby to an amateur tryout.

The 5-foot-11, 190-pound native of Richmond Hill, Ontario registered one goal and 13 assists for a total of 14 points and 14 penalty minutes (PIM) in 27 games with the Flint Firebirds (OHL) this season. He has recorded three goals and 27 assists for a total of 30 points through 89 games over two junior seasons.

Busby was originally drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the fifth round (145th overall) in the 2018 Entry Draft.

The 19-year-old will wear #11 with Tucson.

On-The-Ice

The 28-23-5-2 Tucson Roadrunners take on the San Jose Barracuda tonight (7 p.m.) and tomorrow afternoon (4 p.m.) in a crucial Pacific Division series. Forward Lane Pederson leads the team in points with 37 this season, including eight in eight games during the month of March.
