Rivermen to Visit Children's Hospital of Illinois Three Times this Season

Peoria, Ill. (November 16, 2004) – Team Captain Trevor Baker of the Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL announced today that the team will visit the Child Life Department of Children's Hospital of Illinois at OSF-St. Francis Medical Center three times this season – Tuesday, November 23; Tuesday, December 14; and Tuesday, February 8.

The entire Rivermen team and coaching staff will interact with and sign autographs for the pediatric patients on these three occasions. In addition, during their February 8 visit, the Rivermen will help the pediatric patients create Valentine's in the Child Life Department Activities Room as they did last year.

The Peoria Rivermen are a proud affiliate of the NHL's St. Louis Blues and a member of the ECHL – The Premier "AA" Hockey League. Peoria continues its ninth season in the 28-team league Saturday, November 20, when they host the archrival Toledo Storm for the second time this season. Game time is now at 7:30 p.m. It is Boy Scout Night. The Rivermen will wear special Boy Scout-themed jerseys, which will be auctioned off after the game to benefit the W.D. Boyce Boy Scout Council. The Cutting Edge Salon of Morton "Haircuts for Charity" returns as well. Haircuts will be available on the inner concourse in Section 9 for free with donations going to the Children's Hospital of Illinois. Season ticket packages and group tickets for 2004-2005 are available by calling the Rivermen at 309.676.1040.
