Ice Pilots off to 6-1 start

Ice Pilots win three out of four games this past week. The Pensacola Ice Pilots won their only game this past week 4-1 vs. Gwinnett in front of 3,928 fans at "The Hangar" this past Friday night. Jordan Krestanovich scored two goals in the game for the Ice Pilots. Ryan Vince and Corey Neilson also scored goals. Mike Vigilante scored the only goal of the game for Gwinnett. The Ice Pilots had 27 shots on goal, 6 penalty minutes and did not have a power play in the game. Gwinnett had 29 shots on goal, 0 penalty minutes and went 0-3 on the power play. Frederic Cloutier was the winning goalie for the Ice Pilots and T.J. Aceti took the loss in goal for Gwinnett.

6-1 record best start in franchise history after first seven games: The Ice Pilots 6-1 record is the best start in franchise history. No Ice Pilots team has started the season with a 6-1 record after the first seven games. Last season's Ice Pilots team had a record of 5-2 after the first seven games.

Ice Pilots play at Texas this Friday at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots will play their first of ten games this season vs. Texas this Friday at Ford Arena in Beaumont, Texas at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots had a record of 9-3-2 vs. Texas last year including a record of 3-2-2 on the road and 6-1-0 at home. This is the only game of the week for the Ice Pilots and the first of three games on the road.

Ice Pilots to play at South Carolina on Wednesday, Nov. 24 at 6:05 p.m. central time and at Augusta Friday, Nov. 26. at 6:35 p.m. central time: The Ice Pilots have an all time record of 4-4-1 vs. South Carolina including a record of 2-3-0 at home and 2-1-1 on the road. The Ice Pilots won 1-0 at South Carolina last season. The Ice Pilots have an all time record of 10-3-2 vs. Augusta including a record of 5-0-1 at home and 5-3-1 on the road. The Ice Pilots won 4-3 vs. Augusta at home on November 7th. The Ice Pilots had a record of 1-1-1 vs. Augusta last year including a record of 1-0 at home and 0-1-1 on the road.

Monday practice at Biloxi at 5:00 p.m.

Tuesday practice at Biloxi at 8:00 a.m.

Wednesday practice at Biloxi at 8:00 a.m.

Thursday leave for Texas at 8:00 a.m.

Friday pre skate 11 a.m. play at Texas 7:05 p.m.

Saturday optional

Sunday tentative practice 4:00-5:00 p.m.

NEXT HOME GAMES: The Ice Pilots next two home games are Saturday, November 27 vs. Greenville at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday, November 28 vs. Las Vegas at 5:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots have an all time record of 4-4-0 vs. Greenville including a record of 2-2-0 at home and 2-2-0 on the road. The Ice Pilots were 2-0 vs. Greenville last season winning 7-4 at home and 5-3 on the road. The Ice Pilots will play Las Vegas for the first time in team history.

PROMOTIONS FOR NEXT TWO HOME GAMES: Saturday, November 27 vs. Greenville at 7:05 p.m. It is Escambia and Santa Rosa County School Night were the Ice Pilots will recognize the students and teachers of Escambia and Santa Rosa Schools. The Dodge Team of the Month will also be announced. Sunday, November 28 vs. Las Vegas at 5:05 p.m. It is Family Day. Fans can purchase 4 hot dogs, 4 sodas and 4 upper level tickets for $44.

Leading Scorers: Ice Pilots Jordan Krestanovich leads the team in scoring with 12 points and with 7 goals including 2 game winners. Krestanovich is currently fourth in the league in scoring with his 12 points and third in the league with his 7 goals. He has picked up a point in each of the seven games this season. Tyler Beechey leads the team in assists with 7 and is second in scoring with 9 points. Corey Neilson is third on the team in scoring with 8 points. Todd Ford is currently fifth in the league with a 1.50 goals against average. The Ice Pilots start the week with the second best power play at 28.5 percent.

Dodge Player of the Week: Forward Jordan Krestanovich has been nominated for the ECHL player of the week. Krestanovich scored two goals in the game on Friday vs. Gwinnett. Frederic Cloutier has been nominated for the ECHL Goalie of the Week. Cloutier stopped 28 out of 29 shots in the 4-1 win vs. Gwinnett on Friday. Cloutier has been named the Dodge/Ice Pilots Player of the Week.

Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed will be sponsoring the Ice Pilots leading scorer award this season. During the season, we will be updating you with the Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed Ice Pilots top scorer. At the end of the season, Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed will present a trophy to the Ice Pilots top scorer. Fans will have an update on the Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed top scorer in the weekly release and at www.icepilots.com. Jordan Krestanovich is the Ice Pilots top scorer after seven games with 12 points. Tyler Beechey is second with 9 points and Corey Neilson is third with 8 points.

GEICO Three Stars of the Game: GEICO will be sponsoring the Ice Pilots Three Stars of the Game once again on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network this season and at every home game. Three lucky fans at home games will receive a t-shirt from the GEICO Three Stars of the Game this season. Mr. Hank Dousharm of GEICO will present the Ice Pilot player with a trophy at the end of the season with the GEICO Star of the Game award as the points will be updated throughout the season after every game on the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com and every week with the Ice Pilots Weekly Release. Season Ticket Packages are available with year round payments: Full season ticket packages and 16 game packages are available with year round payments. The following is a list of the full season ticket plan with year round payments: $22 seats for floor and glass is $49.99 per month, $15 seats for sides is $35.99 per month, $13 seats for goal and lower upper level is $32.99 per month, $10 seats for upper level is $24.99 per month.

Season tickets cost $649.44 for floor and glass seats, $459.00 for sides, $411.84 for behind the goal and lower upper level seats and $324.00 for upper level seats.

Assigned Players from Toronto Maple Leafs: The Ice Pilots currently have six players on the roster assigned from Toronto. They are goalie Todd Ford, defenseman Dave Turon, defenseman Dominic D'Amour, center Chris St. Jacques, center Kris Newbury and left wing Cam Keith. Todd Ford and Kris Newbury started the week recalled to St. John's of the AHL

Kerr's Kids: For the second season in a row the Ice Pilots are introducing "Kerr's Kids." Thanks to Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr and SMG (Pensacola Civic Center), the Ice Pilots would like to invite organizations devoted to helping children who are terminally ill or have special limitations to be our guest during the 2004-05 regular season for a great night of hockey. Each organization is encouraged to pick 3-4 dates throughout the regular season. The Ice Pilots will provide free admission for 12 people (We would like to have at least 6 or more children, escorts are required for the children and are counted as part of the 12). SMG will provide a hot dog and soda for each guest. If accessible seating is needed the Ice Pilots must be notified at least 2 days in advance and seating will be arranged. All members must stay in assigned seats. Please provide a list of attendee's 24 hours prior to game day. If you are interested in attending one of the Ice Pilots home game through "Kerr's Kids" please contact the Ice Pilots office at 432-7825 and ask for Melinda Palmer.

Listen to games on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network with the new Ice Pilots Flagship radio home AM 1620: Fans can listen to Ice Pilots games on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network. The network includes new flagship radio station AM 1620, Cox Communications and at icepilots.com sponsored by Sports Avenue. The game will also be taped delayed by Leafs TV. The pre-game show for Friday's game at Texas begins at 6:50 p.m.

Ice Pilots Offer Pay-Per-View Webcasts with B2 Networks this season. The Ice Pilots home games and several road games will be available for viewing on the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com. The Ice Pilots have partnered with B2 Networks based in Las Vegas, Nevada on the pay-per-view broadcast.

Fans will be able to click on the "Watch the Game Live" icon at the Ice Pilots website to view and listen to the game. The broadcast is available to fans with a high speed DSL or Cable modem internet connection and the charge is $6 per game. At this time a total of 58 of the Ice Pilots 72 regular season games will be available for viewing at www.icepilots.com. The next web cast is offer on Friday, November 19th when the Ice Pilots play at Texas at 7:05 p.m.

Ice Pilots Radio Show at the Gutter Lounge again this season: The Ice Pilots Radio show will once again be broadcasted from the Gutter Lounge at Phoenix Crossing inside the new Liberty Lanes this year located at 3200 North Palafox Street. The show is broadcasted on the Ice Pilots hockey network from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. Fans can hear the radio show on the Ice Pilots new flagship radio station AM 1620 and on the internet at www.icepilots.com sponsored by Sports Avenue. Fans can meet the players, head coach Dave Farrish and members of the Ice Pilots office staff all season long. Ice Pilots Alumni Players Shane Calder, Kelly Hultgren, Andrew Rodgers and Scott Malone will be the player guests tonight.
