LAST WEEK: Pee Dee was 1-2-0 last week, dropping a pair of road contests at South Carolina and defeating Columbia at home. The Pride are 6-4-1 on the season for 13 points, and are tied with Charlotte for second place in the East Division, two points behind South Carolina.

Thursday, November 11 @ South Carolina Stingrays 3 PRIDE 2

The Stingrays scored two goals just over a minute apart to take a 2-0 lead midway through the first period. Michael Chin's goal with 4:57 left in the opening period brought the Pride within one. After a scoreless second period, Matt Reid gave South Carolina its two-goal lead back, tallying 3:01 into the final period. The Pride pulled back to within one with 6:09 left on Chad Spurr's first goal of the season. Despite pulling the goaltender and putting pressure on the Stingrays in the closing minute, the Pride could not get the equalizer.

Friday, November 12 @ South Carolina Stingrays 4 PRIDE 2

Just like a night earlier, South Carolina took an early 2-0 lead, only to see the Pride score before the first period ended to make it 2-1 after 20 minutes. Pee Dee tied the game at 11:42 of the second period on a Brian Collins shorthanded tally. Matt Reid would once again haunt his final team, scoring a pair of goals before the second period came to an end to set the final.

Saturday, November 13 v. Columbia PRIDE 2 Inferno 0

It was a dazzling performance by the Pride defense, as Columbia was held to 13 shots for the game, and just two in the third period. Kyle Kidney tallied in the first period, and Mark Mullen added an insurance tally midway through the third to set the final. Sebastien Laplante recorded the win between the pipes, picking up the team's first shutout of the season.

The Pride and Everblades meet for a pair of games at Germain Arena. This will be the Pride's only visit to Estero this season. Last season, Pee Dee was 2-6-0 against Florida. The Pride are 23-19-4 all-time against the Everblades. Florida enters the week 5-6-0 for 10 points and is in third place of the South Division.

PRIDE NOTES

- Kyle Kidney played in his 200th professional game on Thursday at South Carolina. He has played in 137 consecutive regular-season games, and has missed only one game since joining the Pride in 2002-2003.

- The Pride's average attendance of 3,468 through four home games is an increase of 28% over last year's end-of-season attendance (2,505). In addition, it is an increase of 29% over the first four games of last season (2,463).

- Dating back to last season, the Pride are unbeaten in their last 11 home games (9-0-2).

- Pee Dee was 0-for-8 on the power play in the three games last week. For the season, the Pride are 16th in the league on the man advantage, with a conversion rate of 15.9%.

- The Pride lead the ECHL with five shorthanded goals, three of which have been scored by Brian Collins, who is tops among all league players in that category.

HOCKEY TONIGHT SIGNS

The Pride's "Hockey Tonight" yard signs are back! If you need a new yard sign, you can pick one up at the Pride office between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, or at the Customer Service Tables during home games. Remember to place your yard signs on game days. The Pride's next home game is Friday, November 26 against the South Carolina Stingrays.

All Pride away games can be heard on WDAR Sunny 105.5 FM and on-line at www.peedeepride.com with the Voice of the Pride, Joe Babik. Each broadcast begins 20 minutes prior to faceoff with the Palmetto Chiropractic Pre-Game Show.
