RHP José Ureña Promoted to White Sox Saturday

(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) - RHP José Ureña had his contract selected by the Chicago White Sox today. Ureña, 31, is scheduled to start tonight's game for the White Sox at Comerica Park against the Detroit Tigers.

Ureña was signed by the Chicago White Sox organization on August 8 and added to Charlotte's active roster. With the Knights, Ureña has made four starts this season and is 1-1 with a 3.38 ERA (21.2 IP/20 SO). For his career, the Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic native has appeared in 194 games at the major-league level over parts of nine seasons (2015-23).

This season, a total of 23 players have been promoted from Charlotte to Chicago.
