Reno Welcomes Chihuahuas back from Break with 8-2 Loss

The Reno Aces won 8-2 Thursday night in El Paso, ending the Chihuahuas' five-game winning streak. It was the opener of a four-game homestand for El Paso and the first game after the Pacific Coast League all-star break.

Forrestt Allday went 1-for-5 with a solo home run, his third homer in Triple-A this season, all of which have come in July. Allday had three career home runs prior to this month. Matt Szczur went 2-for-4 with an RBI single in his first career game with the Chihuahuas.

Juniel Querecuto went 5-for-5 for Reno, becoming the first player to collect five hits in a game against the Chihuahuas this year. Thursday's game was interrupted by a 49-minute rain delay in the bottom of the seventh inning. A.J. Kennedy hit a pinch-hit single in the ninth inning, El Paso's 22nd pinch hit of the season.
