December 7, 2013 - ECHL (ECHL)
Ontario Reign News Release
ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign (14-3-1-3), back-to-back Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, fell to the San Francisco Bulls (7-12-1-1) 4-1 at Citizens Business Bank Arena on Friday night before a 7,847 Crowd.
San Francisco scored first at 7:10 when Dale Mitchell brought the puck into the Reign zone off a long pass from Dylan King and shot it five-hole on Michael Hutchinson. The puck barely made its way through Hutchinson's pads and trickled across the goal line to put the Bulls up 1-0. Just 48 seconds later San Francisco took a two-goal lead with a wraparound goal off the stick of Scott Langdon.
Langdon found the back of the Reign net with a deflection on Brett Findlay's long shot from the blue line just 44 seconds into the first period. While on the power play, Matt Register received a short pass from Derek Couture and fired a shot from the top of the slot past the glove of Tyler Beskorowany for his first goal of the season at 4:25.
The Bulls went up 4-1 at the 9:54 mark of the third period when the Bulls had a two-on-one opportunity and with a quick pass in front of the crease, Tyler Gron scored the final goal of the game.
Hutchinson suffered his second regulation loss of the season with 25 saves on 29 shots; Beskorowany earned the win with 42 saves on 43 shots.
Three Stars: 1. SF - Scott Langdon 2. SF - Brett Findlay 3. SF - Tyler Beskorowany
