
Reid Recalled to Bridgeport

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays and head coach Jason Fitzsimmons announced today that Matt Reid has been recalled to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.
Reid, 28, is currently playing his third year with the Stingrays and his seventh year of professional hockey. The Massena, NY native has played in 34 games with the Stingrays this year and has 43 points (19g-24a). He is tied for second on the team in goals and is third in assists.
The call-up to the Sound Tigers marks the first time this season Reid has been recalled to the AHL. The 5'10", 190-pound center has been called-up to the AHL one other time in his career; he played two games with the Portland Pirates during the 2002-03 season.
The Stingrays travel to Pensacola, Florida for games against the Ice Pilots on Saturday at 8:05 p.m. ET and Sunday at 7:05 p.m. ET at the Pensacola Civic Center.
