Wildcatters go down in Utah 6-2 to Grizzlies

West Valley City, UT (March 2, 2007) Bill Kinkel and Jimmie Kraft scored two goals each as the Utah Grizzlies won their second straight, defeating the Wildcatters (31-18-5-4) 6-2 in front of 4,210 at The E Center. Colin Nicholson and Kevin Baker scored for Texas as each team rotated goals through the first period and into the second.

Utah took control at the 5:32 mark of period number two as Jimmie Kraft scored the first of his two on the evening to give Utah a one goal lead. Then Bill Kinkel beat goaltender Matt Yeats with a one timer from right in front of the net to put Utah ahead 4-2 after two periods. D.J. Jelitto and Kraft added third period goals to give the Grizzlies their second win in a row and hand the Wildcatters their fourth consecutive loss.

The Wildcatters out shot Utah 35 to 33. Texas ended up 1 for 9 on the power play and Utah finished 2 for 4. Matt Yeats received a rest in the third period as Derek Classen came in to play 3:42.
