
Rebels Blanked 4-0 in Brandon

BRANDON, MB - The Rebels were blanked 4-0 by the Wheat Kings on Friday. Jordan Papirny made 29 saves for the shutout for Brandon.
Brandon opened the scoring in the first period on a goal by Jordan Thomson. It was 1-0 for the Wheat Kings after the first period.
The Wheat Kings added two more in the second period. Tyler Coulter on the power play and Nolan Patrick with an even strength goal made it 3-0.
Rebels starting netminder Rylan Toth came out of the game after the second period, Trevor Martin played the third period. Both goaltenders made spectacular saves on this night.
The Wheat Kings got one more goal in the third period; this time is was Macoy Erkamps on the power play.
The final shots were 47-29 for Brandon. The Rebels were 0 for 1 on the power play; the Wheat Kings were 3 for 5 with the man advantage.
The Rebels are in Swift Current on Saturday, the broadcast on 106.7 The Drive begins at 5:50PM.
