Jon Martin celebrates the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win over Red Deer

The Swift Current Broncos recognized former horsemen Jake Debrusk in the first period, but it was former Red Deer Rebel Taz Burman that stole the show.

The 18 year old netminder, who had previous stops in Seattle and Red Deer, made 38 saves in a 2-1 Bronco victory.

Team captain Jon Martin had both goals for Swift. Martin's 31 goals is good for sole possesion of first place in the WHL goal scoring race. Martin became the first WHL player to reach the 30 goal plateau this season.

The Broncos successfully killed off all four of Red Deer's power plays. Tyler Steenbergen assisted on both of Martin's goals.

After losing 6 straight heading into the weekend, the Broncos have won their last two.
